Fees are a topical subject these days. The last few years have been tumultuous and investors are rightfully questioning what they pay and what they get for the fees they pay. Our experience has told us that the biggest problem clients have is with transparency. They don’t understand how, or how much, they are paying for the advice they receive.
We couldn’t agree more. You should have a clear understanding of how your advisor is paid and how much they are paid. All of our clients are unique and they pay us in a variety of ways but we can tell you the following things:
- You will never pay anything until all costs and obligations have been fully explained and accepted by you in writing.
- Until that point, you can safely assume that any time or information won’t cost you anything.
